Physical barriers are a large part of the solution, yes. But most illegal entries are still coming through ports/points of entry, so no a wall is not the only piece of securing the border.

What percentage of illegal crossers would you say are asylum applicants? Because I was under the impression that it’s a very small number. Could be wrong though.

Point being that it’s the most porous border in the world because politicians want it to be. Not because we “just can’t secure it”. No. We’re simply choosing not to.

NOW? I imagine a metric frick ton. They know the routine and the weakness of our treaties. It's not some secret in the Central American countries they're leaving. Not anymore.
