Ever see a movie in concert?

If so, how was the experience?
For those that don't know, that's seeing a movie with a live orchestra playing the soundtrack. My wife and I enjoy orchestral music, and are introducing our son to it by taking him to see Star Wars in concert this weekend.
I'm looking forward to it. There are not many new ways to experience the original Star Wars. ET, Jurassic Park, and Harry Potter movies are also popular in concert.

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari with a live score. It was awesome.
ETA: Also the first Harry Potter movie. I don’t really remember it though, just that it was at that place by Zephyr Field or whatever it’s called now.

I've seen a Home Alone, Jurassic Park, and Harry Potter Prisoner of Azkaban w/the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. It's pretty cool and I wish DSO did those kinds of shows more frequently.

My wife does marketing for a venue that occasionally does this for free for the community. I've seen Jaws, Jurasic Park, Wizard of Oz, Toy Story, and Matilda. Matilda was cool because not only did the symphony play the music, but Danny Devito was there to narrate the movie. It's an outdoor venue and it's usually a nice evening with the kids. I get caught up watching the movie and don't even pay attention to the symphony

Absolutely amazing!
I've seen:
Star Trek (09)
Star Trek: Into Darkness
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Back to the Future!
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse
All with the Nashville Symphony, with the exception of Spider-Man, which was in Jacksonville with a traveling orchestra. Would highly recommend!

This was my experience, as well. It’s very cool, but after a while you get into the movie and forget that there’s a live orchestra. Still totally worth it.
