Sure, but most of the time people aren't signing up for free trials to watch one program on one day. You'll have people do a free trial to binge watch some show they want to watch or take a free trial of HBO Max to watch free movies for a month or whatever. Hell, I did the free Peacock trial last olympics so I could watch live events that were tape-delayed on network TV. This is a little more unique in that you're signing up for an entire streaming service to watch one game. I'd bet they make tens of millions off people doing the free trial, forgetting about it, and then incurring monthly fee indefinitely without actually using peacock again.
