There are a bunch of versions of the Dark-Eyed Junco, and their ranges overlap.
I didn't know how varied they were until I listened to the Junco Journeys episode of the Nature Guys podcast.

Juncos are in the sparrow family so they’re fairly small. They have white stripes in their tail feathers as they fly. They winter in the south and will be gone by spring.
