There is almost no traffic enforcement outside of small towns anymore. I'm not about speed traps or inspection sticker stops but if I was deputized I could write 20 tickets a day for excessive speed, wreckless endangerment etc. These idiots need to be off the road with heavy fines.

I moved away from Baton Rouge in 2013, and have returned over the years for funerals, etc., and the progressing institutional(among other) decay has been noticeable each visit.

I was last in BR this past June, and combined with all of the new developments, it doesn’t really feel like my old Baton Rouge at all.

I joke with my wife that I wish we could take our families, hop into a Time Machine, and raise our family in 1980 onwards.
