Why is it so hard for many Americans, especially the religious right, to understand that Israel is a foreign government with their own interests firsts, not the Israelites who were gods chosen people. We don’t owe the Israeli government shite. It’s good that they’re our Allie’s and are more western than the rest of the ME and can somewhat keep the Muslims in their place, but we should see them as an asset nothing more. We don’t have to bend over backwards to help them if it isn’t in our own interest.
Without a strong partner like Israel in the ME, we have no base to keep a close eye on our enemies there.
