Let me be more specific, because I wasn’t referring to in-game adjustments. He couldn’t adjust his overall scheme to a younger, less experienced defensive roster with little continuity from last season. He couldn’t teach it to them effectively and his only response to their struggles was to water everything down to the point that there was absolutely no chance for them to be successful against any functional passing attack.

I do agree House was able to adjust in-game several times last year. However, like I said before, he had enough experience to run most of his scheme then. That roster could handle it.

The problem with a guy like House is that you’re going to have years when the roster isn’t perfectly set up to run his scheme. This year proved that he can’t function outside of a tight set of parameters.
