Having played through the first two acts a few times now, the problem is that she starts out… kinda awful

Unless you’re playing as an edgy nihilist, she doesn’t really start coming into her own until the second half of Act 2.

Now, her romance arc is genuinely really great, particularly the reform path, but after you’ve walked that path with her, it’s hard not to notice how shitty she is on subsequent playthroughs. I actually find that I avoid talking to her early game now for that reason.
