The question is even if there are freshmen impact players

Thanks for your assessment Alum which is appreciated. It's always nice to see a SoFtBall topic although I wish it was more positive. But I understand the frustration.

It would be nice if the incoming freshmen pictures and bio's (rather than tiger faces) were listed. This appears to be the only major sport where freshmen are not shown. It might also help build more attention and support to softball for our incoming tigers, and preseason enthusiasm.

We do have good talent with seasoned hitters/fielders returning despite our lack of pitching depth. Hopefully Berzon will be accompanied by Clopton and at least a one or two others to keep us in the chase. Geaux Girls!

Looks like the SoFtBall web got a face lift with full team pictures and Bio's.

Season starts Feb 8 and looking forward to this years returning talent and experience, hopefully with improved pitching development and talent.

This has aged well so far. Sierra Daniels getting the most chances--and making good on them--as a freshman. Beth will keep her involved for sure even when Petty is 100% back. Guessing she may move Daniel or Petty to 3B while the other holds 2B down.

Maddox McKee will likely get spot chances but has had a little trouble on the hot corner defensively. She's been decent at the plate though. But with Petty (who had a hot bat before injury) returning and a Daniel who looks very good on the field, at the plate and on the basepaths I don't see a spot for McKee.

Tori Edwards I hear is out for the year with a leg or foot injury of some sort.
