My wife does this occasionally and she knows I'm handy. I tell her that she can go ahead and call someone, she can handle that 100%. Then she is responsible for it 100% including the bill, in which will come out of her budget for BS expenses.
Who the hell do you even call to put furniture together?
I had a guy repair a broken chair leg one time and it was $150. It was for something I didn't want the liability for, but all he did was wood glue and clamp it like anyone else would.
