Part of that is having BI guard more at the POA, which allows Herb to be a secondary defender (which he is the best I've ever seen at) having BI play up on the primary wing scorer also takes away BI's biggest weakness imo, which is ball watching when defending the corner shooter and allowing backdoor cuts. Smart move by Willie.

Good stuff. Willie's only problem at the moment...is when the other team has a stud offensive player that BI just can't guard. Then, you gotta put Herb on him & lose Herb's strongest trait... his off-ball defense. This is why I think Dyson is SO VERY important in the Pels becoming a serious contender. IMO, DD is just a tad below Herb in on-ball defense...so you can leave Herb to "roam" & let DD slow down that stud offensive player. Now...if we can just get Herb & DD BOTH shooting about 36% from the 3-pt line, we can have 2 very good defenders out there at the same time.

I'm hard-pressed to think of a single "contender" that only has ONE very good defender on the court at crunch time. Bottom line...Dyson is far more important for the Pels' future...than most think...and the Pels know it.

That’s the number, I agree.
Herb is pretty much there.
Dysons form looks great, he just needs to start making them.
As important as it is to always have one of BI or Zion on the court at all times, I think it’s just as important to have one of Dyson or Herb on the court as well.

1000% agree. I'm not moving dyson unless it's for a star. I actually kinda want to move naji so Willie is forced to play dyson and hawkins more.

Obviously Dyson's 3pt shot has struggled this year as he's only hitting 28% but people are overlooking that fact that he's improved his 2pt% and FT% while getting even better on the defensive end. Dyson already has more steals and blocks than he did last year while playing 300 less minutes than he has last year
