Is it that difficult to replicate the NFL playoff system? Just move bowl games as game 0 match ups between conferences, remove conference championships, put the playoff ranking based on W-L per conference.

It is when you have teams like Tennessee who have had to play UGA and ALA every single year, year in and year out, and then you have the rest of the scrubs who almost NEVER had to play both.
Until you have an equal divisional schedule, like in the NFL, then yes it is that difficult.
