Maybe not. Everybody agreed that Savion was way too slow to play on the edge this year. We could move him inside and Jaxon and Wommack could start at opposite ends. Would give us Maason, Guillory, Jones, the Lee kid from Florida and all the guys coming in. Still need to grab an experienced guy or 2 from the portal, but we should have decent depth there, regardless.

But make no mistake, this hurts. Wingo may have been our best player on defense next year. But he played hurt all year, and wasn't nearly the same player he was in '22. Granted, that may have contributed to our sucking out loud, though.
