2020 was statistically worse (although all sec opponents).

I’m in the very small minority but I don’t think it was that much of a scheme issue (which is where the DC/House really does their damage). He did coach LBers so you can fault him for that, although they had moments (Weeks).

I think the main issues are:
-awful (or nonexistent, DL) position coaching which leads to all kinds of problems in technique & fundamentals
-lack of depth & high end talent.

I’d put 40% on both of those and 20% on House. Flame away I don’t care. He didn’t forget how to coach defense and did well in 22 and @ Kentucky in the same role.

We had glaring schematic issues in several games that didn't get corrected, most notably Alabama. The entire world saw what we needed to do and BK admitted it after.

How the frick does that happen?

Agree I really do not understand having such week D line play We have not set the edge for several years

Pretty hard to recover from losing most of your defensive backfield.

I was expecting bowl practice to help.

We were rushing 4 with seven in coverage

When you get no pressure bad things happen
