What grain bullets you shooting? Stepping down to a 150gr should put you close to 270 level recoil. Maybe add some weight to your gun? A pound or two makes a huge difference.
If your dead set on a new gun and I love new guns then go with a 6.5cr or 308, it’s way easier to get ammo for them than say a 7mm08 .
