Liberty has no business being in this game.

I have no problem with Liberty. They had a great season, but they played in the worst conference in the country, and had the easiest schedule in all of college football. The committee used the "strength of schedule" and "eye test" bs against FSU. So, why was Liberty not treated the same. As someone stated, Memphis was third in the AAC and looked better by the "eye test" and played a tougher schedule than Liberty. So did SMU, and Tulane. Again, I'm not hating on Liberty just showing the hypocrisy in this age of college football. Don't give me they were undefeated and those three teams mentioned weren't, because we know how that goes.

Meh. Going to have to disagree with you on this. Memphis lost to two AAC teams that took beatings in their bowl games as well. Teams that were nowhere near as powerful as Oregon.

Wrong. MAC was worse. AAC wasn’t as far ahead as people believe. Very little difference between G5 conferences in 2023.

Probably true, but they dominated that schedule outside of one bad game against Sam Houston. The other people competing for that spot didn’t have a signature win either. SMU and Troy got curbstomped against their P5 opponents like Liberty did today. Both also lost their bowl games to weak opponents.

bullshite. the AAC is riding on reputation right now.

Tulane didn’t take care of business. SMU was blown out by a pitiful TCU squad. What makes them pass the eye test? They are a bigger name. That’s it.
