Isn’t just about price. For me it was simple.

Can watch on as many screens as you want with no extra box fee cable companies charge

No cancellation fee. I can cut service and restart anytime I want.

No contracts.

Cable companies were gouging
$80/month cable package
$5/box
$10/unlimited HD and DVR
$50 set up fee

The list goes on and on and on and when it’s all said and done that $80/month is now $150

I've never signed a contract with a termination fee for cable. Do you mean dish?

My former cable package, before i cut cord, has an ios app and works on smart tvs with unlimited streams.

I always paid around $105-125 for high speed internet, cable, and phone with a box.

When I had hulu live, ps vue, etc, there was a limit on streams. Not unlimited. typically 3-5?

Cable, locally has Bally Sports, and most online streams do not unless you really bump up package. So my basic cable included, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers, Columbus Blue Jackets. Streaming included none of that.

The cut the cord movement started before streaming services. Originally it was Bunny Ears and Netflix. That is what I understand cord cutting to mean.

At the time this started my options were Cox, ATT, and satellite tv. All 3 had contracts.

Thats when streaming services came in with $40/month prices etc and when all this started.

Now I pay $65/month for YTTV and $50/month T Mobile internet. Idk the simplicity to me is worth it alone.
