OK, so an update.

I bought the Chinese knock-off element from Amazon. It came with the heating coil and a few thermostats/fuses. I checked the continuity of the sensors already in the dryer and they checked out good, so I didn't replace them. I just replaced the heating coil and will keep the sensors in a drawer if I ever need them. I'd rather run the OEM sensors as long as they work because I am sure Chyna sensors could be funky.

My dryer is back to working like new. If I have to do this every 1 or 2 years, I guess that's fine. If I knew the OEM element would last as long as the original, I would go that route, but there's no guarantee. So back alley Chinese parts it will be.
