I usually look at the ratings of the seller to decide those things. Heating elements are fairly simple but the issue with knockoffs is usually quality control so you may get something with cracks in the insulated parts, etc that create problems for you down the road.
FOr 1/3rd of the price, it is probably worth the risk if the replacement is not a major chore.
