The optics look bad and are not conventional, BUT………….

Assuming the 2 point play was always going to be a pass, being at the 7 is not a factor. Most QB’s will tell you they’d prefer the extra space. That being said, Goff threw a terrible pass just short of the goal line on the failed play.

Campbell would not have done this if they didn’t lock up the division last week.
