There are too many bowl games. They need to get rid of four or five of them.

But CFB is broken and I don’t know if it can be fixed. I think the only hope is the XFL/USFL goes to a twelve team league and drafts kids from high school on three year contracts. Then kids who want to go pro can and college kids can become amateur again and we can go back to the BCS bowl era type system.

So college football fans seem mad the bowl games don’t matter, well, maybe don’t literally tell a team their entire 13 game season was pointless

FSU was literally told every single game you played was pointless and didn’t matter, yet they were supposed to continue to care?

The point of college is to benefit its students. NIL and the portal give players more options to better themselves. The real problem is middle age adults who care too much about 20 year olds playing football.

If some smokin’ hot sophomore at UGA is making millions on IG and TikTok, no one cares about that.

If some computer science major at UF has a multimillion dollar idea and leaves school midsemester to pursue it, no one cares about that.

But, man, if a football player makes money off fans who will simp for him and leaves school when his draft stock is secure, oh the horror!

This is a popular opinion I’ve never understood. Those cities should have their bowl games if they care to. You can watch or not watch as you care to. If those games aren’t profitable, they’ll cease to exist. Just let the market decide, not some arbitrary edict.
