Yea, wonder if it's a younger hawk. That is kind of strange.

I've been watching YouTube videos recently about falcons/hawks. I feel like I'm an expert now.

I've had a pair hanging around this Winter. They look to be either Cooper's or Sharp-shinned. There has been a group of crows in the woods across the road for several years now. I know any time those hawks are in the area because the crows go nuts. The hawks don't stand a chance once they're spotted. Plus, these are the biggest damned crows I've ever seen, over half the size of the hawk.

Someone in the comments says that it was a juvenile hawk, likely less than a year old, based on the tail color. That's a Red Tailed Hawk but the tail is white, indicating its youth.
