Her texts and phone calls got more and more personal and I was trying to figure a way to distance myself when she called me one night: She was divorcing her husband, she had never loved him, she had always loved me. She wanted me to marry her, I would never have to work {she owned a very successful speech/language therapy practice in Dallas so it was a legit offer). I put the brakes to all that with the quickness and I haven't heard from her since. Not long afterward she married some other guy we went to high school with.
