re: Scott Woodward is a good AD, AND he fricked up about Will Wade.

It would take all sides swallowing their egos, but I think Wade would consider coming back…for a few reasons.
1. The boosters/donors still like him and he knows the landscape. With NIL, fundraising is more important than ever. At LSU he could just pick up with them from where he left off. If he goes elsewhere he’ll have to build those relationships from scratch.
2. He has familiarity with multiple players on the team. Wilkinson, Cook, Ward, Chest are all guys he recruited while at LSU.
3. The risk of a “repeat offense” is essentially gone. With NIL in place the need for clandestine conversations and quiet “strong arse offers” is no more. He can work the money angles above board.
Now, I would give it a less than 10% chance of that happening because I think the AD and President are still scared of the bad publicity (from people that don’t matter) that would come from his rehire. Nor do they particularly love Wade…who would likely be even more emboldened and assertive if LSU “begged” for him to come back. But, if all, including Wade, were willing to show humility and accountability for the split there is a path for his return

Wade has yet to show humility and accountability. It all starts there. It's why he was fired.
