It's been said more than once that Stanley Roberts was better than Shaq in the beginning at LSU. Shaq was rough. He got coached up heavily in the off seasons by some of the best on footwork and more footwork! Having twin 7 footers with Chris Jackson at point guard with Vernel Singleton at forward and one more?(I just don't remember the name) was a damn show! Dale didn't win big with that talent and it pretty well said Dale wasn't going to win big.

I think Stanley was a better offensive weapon (despite the numbers). He had a good midrange jump shot and great touch for a 7 footer that's hard to defend.

Shaq improved his footwork and became a dominate force posting up down low. He basically 1-step dunked teams throughout his college career. I think what made Shaq special though was his physicality, defensive prowess and passing skills.
