Just to be clear this was not intended to get up or down votes but only as a matter for discussion. I’ve never seen this discussed as even a remote possibility. If it’s voted down because you don’t like the concept of a players union, then I’m with you. If it’s voted down because you just don’t like the post then what’s the harm in at least discussing it? Personally, I think it would be crazy but there’s a lot going on right now that I don’t like. Change is not always a good thing. Like it or not, change is inevitable without properly evaluating its long term ill effects. And we are witnessing its consequences every day.

There are at least 2 bills filed by Calif. Congressmen & 1 in N.Y. Once colleges are forced to pay players, attys will be standing in line all over the country demanding unionization. The shite that no one is talking about is any unionization won't be limited to college football players. With unionization, turning players into employees, next will come Federal & State tax deductions, injuries will be covered by workers compensation, serious injuries settled by plaintiff attys. This is a deep & dark rabbits hole just on the horizon.
