Trump's logic could have been learned in a first year PETE Economics course or ECON 1001.
You don't learn basic supply/demand from a Project Management Certificate.

Then why was Trump unable to get gasoline prices lower than Obama’s last 2 years? Covid was Trumps only saving grace for gasoline prices they were going up until then.

The U.S. exported record amounts of oil under Obama. Then we exported record amounts of oil under Trump. And now we export record amounts of oil under Biden.
And guess what? The next President who takes over in 2025, will export a new record amount. UNLESS, said President and Congress ban companies from exporting oil overseas.

Possibly. But I would also think before that a person like yourself should also know that companies and corporations own the oil that is being exported, not the government. So when the United States is exporting record amounts of oil, it’s free market companies who are sending that oil to other companies and refineries overseas.
Yes, Biden stupidly sold off half of the SPR, but even if he didn’t sell a drop, we’d still have record oil exports.
