Kinda want a post-ROTJ Luke Skywalker movie to get the bad taste out of my mouth from TLJ. Disney would probably frick that up too, though.

TLJ is the most poorly executed film in movie history. Man, all people wanted to see from that film was Luke Skywalker (one of the greatest heroes in movie history) at peak power wrecking shite and dishing out Force wisdom. But instead of that someone had to try to be unique and turn Luke into a bitch. And not only that but kill off the main villain and leave the third movie with no better option but to bring back Sidious after he was last seen falling down a deep chasm and blowing up in the Death Star that then blew up itself. That is a triple dose of death.

And the movie could have maybe somewhat redeemed itself in the end with Luke actually being on the planet and fricking up all the First Order and humbling Kylo. But they couldn’t do that either.

There have been a lot of bad movies, but none of those movies were gifted Luke fricking Skywalker to build a film around and an infinite resources to do it. Battlefield Earth with OT Luke Skywalker would have been an Oscar winner compared to TLJ.

I would rather Luke Skywalker had embraced the dark side in the ST and become Darth Cocknocker than what I saw in TLJ.

After sending Ahsoka on her way, Anakin pulls Luke into the World Between Worlds, shows him what will happen if he bails on everyone, and says "son, be the man you're meant to be". It could be the final episode of whatever the next Star Wars series is.

Then, recast Han, Luke and Leia, and have them track down and eliminate the seeds of the First Order and whatever that Sith world that Palpatine's body was housed at in the next movie, before going to the Thrawn stories in the next.

Hell, we're going to multiverses in Disney's other big gun (the MCU), they may as well do that in Star Wars too. They could dump the sequels and nobody would care in a year.
