Give directly to your local shelter

Cannot state this enough. The more national you go, the waste grows exponentially.
We are a big part of fostering animals with probably about 50 to 100 pets fostered in 2023 alone. Just picked up 3 calico cats, with one pregnant.
We have received little to nothing from any national group.
We have received some food ( some expired or holes in the bags) and litter, etc from some local humane society, but that's the biggest group.
Definitely nothing from any national group.
And expenses run pretty high from vet bills, to food, etc.

Doing good work there. Calico cats are the best.

Slidell has a no kill shelter off Fremaux. They have an old calico with no teeth. She will most likely live out her years there.
