Do you have any international finance experience, or with mergers & acquisitions? If so, CFO should be in your plans. If not, get it.

You can easily start at gs-11 with a CPA and gs-12 with a MBA
If you look at salaries, be sure to check which pay scale table you are looking at. Base is not the actual salary because locality is added. Also since you are not currently a fed employee, you can negotiate step
