And, in a short period, they get promoted or leave for a better paying job. This is how government works, whether it's state, local or federal. Government only fricks up, it never fricks down. The worse they are at their job, the higher the ceiling, as long as they check the right boxes.

Another instance of the dumbing down of the nation. Folks wanna be like Europe, this gets you there. Folks in most Euro nations are lazy and slow and just don’t give a crap when things get done. We get closer to that every day.
AI is getting us there too. Oh, but it’s great, look what all it can do for you. Yep, and it makes you even dumber because you don’t have to think for yourself.

I just came back from a 3rd World country. Their airport was run more efficiently and easier to get through than any in the US I’ve been through. Our customs area looked and operated more like 3rd World than the actual 3rd World.
