i can crank out award winning chex mix in batches 6 minutes at a time and be done with 8 boxes of chex, packaged up in less than the time it takes to do one small batch in the oven.

i can microwave oil & flour and have a gorgeous dark roux in roughly 10 minutes that never ever EVER burns even if i'm doing 5 different things at the same time.

i can knock out a couple baked potatoes in the time it takes to grill my steaks.

i'm a fan of the frozen indian food from trader joes and while the samosas are cooking in the oven i can heat 2 chicken tiki masalas and 2 saag paneers that would take an hour to cook in an oven.

i'm not seeing the downside here. i also use my oven constantly and the air fryer for fries and leftovers.

its just another tool.
