Man I wish someone was paying me to make post. Nothing in my post disagrees with what you just said. Unchecked illegal immigration is a huge problem. I was responding to a post that specifically asked about terrorist entering the country through S Border. There is no data going back to the 1970's that this is a major entry point for terrorist.
Any terrorist organization with the skills and assets to perform an operation on US soil is going to be well financed and want to have guys that can pose as legal visitors. The likely hood or the desire to use the S. Border to sneak in and risk being caught in extremely low. This has been the opinion of US intelligence for a very long time. Doesn't mean it cant happen, just means a low probability and funding to prevent would probably be best spent somewhere else.

Or, for best return on our investment and greatly improved national security, how about we actually secure the damn border.
And while I don't disagree with much of what you're saying above, the whole collective judgment of the intelligence community argument really isn't very effective anymore because they are biased, dishonest hacks with political agendas at the top, and have repeatedly failed in their core task, lied to us nonstop, and framed up their political enemies.
What was supposedly outward looking Mossad doing while Hamas was practicing parasailing right under their noses? Why they were fomenting internal political rallies against Netenyahu. They too considered the risk of terrorists from their border to be low.
We are just begging for an escalated 9/11 or 10/7 to happen here, and what are our intel agencies doing here? They coordinate with the DOJ and together form a militant lawfare arm of the Democratic Party to persecute white conservatives. Great job.
Our intel is corrupted. You need do nothing more than listen to a Mayorkas presser; the man is an obvious and abject liar.
