Man I wish someone was paying me to make post. Nothing in my post disagrees with what you just said. Unchecked illegal immigration is a huge problem. I was responding to a post that specifically asked about terrorist entering the country through S Border. There is no data going back to the 1970's that this is a major entry point for terrorist.
Any terrorist organization with the skills and assets to perform an operation on US soil is going to be well financed and want to have guys that can pose as legal visitors. The likely hood or the desire to use the S. Border to sneak in and risk being caught in extremely low. This has been the opinion of US intelligence for a very long time. Doesn't mean it cant happen, just means a low probability and funding to prevent would probably be best spent somewhere else.
