No one reports it any more because the NOPD doesn’t answer the phone.

someone attempted to break into my vehicle, but the glass wouldn't break. I got it fixed and didn't report it. No point.
Also, the things citizens report are being mis-classified on purpose to make it appear that serious crime is down.
I talked to someone recently who watched and recorded someone an attempted burglary. He reported it, provided the video and it was classified as loitering.
