When i drank regularly, I loved it with just a little ice. Adding cokes or mixers makes it too sweet and syrupy.

You have to realize we're dealing with a generation or two of man-children. They won't drink coffee unless it's a frappuccino. They play video games and collect funkopops. Of course they want their liquor to taste like a child's soft drink.

Adding sweet liquids is a recipe for hangovers.

The young ones will eventually get tired of the headaches & nausea and will one day acquire the sophisticated taste for straight alcohol on or off the rocks, then look back & wonder why they didn't make the transition decades earlier.

Adding Coke and other mixers also add to the hangover intensity.
