SEC is not going to vote to go to a 9-game SEC schedule since Disney/ABC/ESPN will NOT pay us extra for that. And ESPN cannot make the SEC schools go to a 9-game schedule. Each school gets a vote on that.
Personally, I hate going to 9 SEC games. That means any given year some SEC teams have more home conference games than others (5 vs 4). LSU played its three most significant SEC games this year on the road and lost 2 of them. It is harder to win on the road in the SEC than at home.

I agree with this but the 7+1 model is way worse if that’s what happens.
