Ain’t nothing wrong with that, hunted over some damn fine dogs trained that way. One thing I’ve learned getting into this hobby is never critique another man’s dog, always undersell your own dog, and every single dog is slightly different.
I think the collar is beneficial if used right and certainly can expedite the process. I just never wanted to deal with it or get attached to using it and then have to worry about charging batteries, etc. many ways to skin a cat. Mine is still work in progress but pleased with how he is advancing
