I used to get pissed when my MIL would show up and immediately start cleaning. I don’t know what my problem was; I love it now.

My in-laws are complete opposites.
Our house is a vacation resort for them and my wife and I are the hired hands to take care of everything for them. They may carry their plate back towards the sink. That'd be the most effort that would go into helping clean up after themselves.
They do wash their own clothes here, but it's solely for cheap reasons. They can use our Tide, etc for free. They even bring dirty clothes to wash once they get here.
