Its relevant if you’re asking who’s in first place right now. Hence why you see Bucs listed first and not Saints.
If we go with your logic forget about the records thats only relevant when the season ends because technically the playoffs only start after every regular season game has been played.

It's ludicrous. You can play that game every week during the season, but which team has the lead in a given week is contingent on the respective schedules as the teams don't play the same opponents.
