the ball placement was often perfect and Nabers, Thomas (and to a lesser extent, Lacy) seemed to win 90% of "50/50" balls.

/\ THIS /\ is the most amazing thing ive ever seen.

With all the carping I did in 2022 about wanting him to 'put the ball in play for the receivers'
I never once thought he could be so precise. I'd have been deliriously happy had he only been 50% as precise as he turned out to be - even with a few interceptions tossed in..

His performance last year was just unbelievable if you hadn't witnessed it = A performance never to be exceeded imho.

JD came a long way this year. Last year he took off and ran and got lit up for too many small gains. This year, he doesn't take off unless he sees more green. Both were uncanny at throwing their WRs open.

Difference between Burrow and JD …

Unhappy fans comparing two different QB's, different teams and different seasons

How can any LSU fan be unhappy with Burrow, he won 25 games in the two seasons he was at LSU

How can any LSU fan be unhappy with Daniels, he energized the entire fanbase and team this season.

But on a purely collegiate level, I think Jayden is maybe actually better

Completely Disagree. Name me another College QB in your lifetime that could walk up to the line, look at the defense, call an audible, and it be the right play 99% of the time. You can’t. Because no one, including JD, has been able to do that. Burrow was an absolute nightmare for opposing defensive coordinators. They could not scheme him. At all.

Burrow did this against Top 10 teams. ALL. SEASON. LONG. Joe Burrow is the GOAT LSU football player.

The schedule was weak this year except for FSU, Missouri, Ole Miss and Bama. Missouri is the only team on the schedule I would consider an impressive win.

The schedule was weak outside of the 2 top 5 teams and 2 top 11 teams?

The 2019 team only played 3 top 13 teams in the regular season. The rest of LSU's schedule was really terrible. That team really kicked into another gear after beating Bama and it really has clouded people's memory of what happened in the middle of the season.

LSU had a stretch of UF, AU, and Bama, where it was close games in the 4th quarter. A terrible defense would have been the difference in a loss in one or more of those games.

2019 Examples: UF was moving to tie the game, but Stingley picked them off in the end zone with about 8 minutes left in the game. LSU defense forced AU to punt 6 times in the 2nd half in a close game. For context, the 2023 LSU defense forced 6 punts in the UF, Bama, and aTm games combined.

Since you know so much on Burrow and the Offense of 2019, let me know how many times he called an audible? Then we will know if he only missed less than 2%.

Burrow's 3rd & 17 vs Texas completion to Justin Jefferson is one for the ages. That's the difference! Not a slight at JD at all.
