The Chiefs can keep Mahomes. The Bucks can keep Giannis. The Royals and Brewers will never replicate that and I think that’s an issue for the league as a whole.

This is 100% truth. And that is why teams like the Padres, Mariners, and Brewers are signing promising players like Tatis Jr, Rodriguez, and the Brewers top prospect to riskier deals long before they hit free agency.
