WWII was won by America's vast industrial might. We don't have the industry to do that today.

The only way to beat the cheap labor trap is domestic robotics. I remember when the South had hundreds of textile mills and related factories. Now, the only one I can think of is a robotic that can produce high quality products at prices competitive with cheap international labor.

Why do you think we'd fight a war today like we did in WW2?

Jets and rocket propulsion/missile tech changed the game.
