Tik Tok has algorithms that rewards viewers
depending on what content they watch. Like Pavlov’s dog dinner bells.
There are different algorithms selected depending on the users geolocation.
Within China users are rewarded for watching positive content that affirms good life choices and making something of themselves.
In thr the west however users are rewarded for watching trash - pranks, general mischief & misconduct, promiscuity, etc…

Yeah I wasn’t clear on that either, I’m guessing it’s by what other content is tailored to their feed? I don’t have tik tok and only see any of its content when it is posted on other platforms like this.

They tailor content to for wide cultural appeal.
In China, that means being a good Chinese. In America, that means chasing instant gratification and being overly stimulated.

That’s Hollywood since its inception.
The codes were created to stop Hollywood from pushing it. We understood it was bad for us and should be shut down.
Today almost all popular Western media pushes negative society harming behavior. We no longer push back or police against it in any effective way.
