Just want to encourage all LSU fans to travel for this bowl game. You won't regret it ... the Peach Bowl is a ton of fun ... if you've never been, Atlanta is a great city to spend New Year's Eve in, the stadium will be packed with GaTech/LSU fans and the environment will be great. The funnest LSU bowl game I've ever been to save last year's title game was the 2000 Peach Bowl vs Georgia Tech. We will be outnumbered by GaTech fans again, but that just makes it funner and the LSU fans that are there get louder to compensate for being outnumbered.

Not to mention if you want LSU to get better bowl games in the future, bowls like the Cap1 and Cotton and Outback will look back to this year and how we as LSU fans traveled in a "down" year as an indication of how we will travel in the future in "down" non-BCS years. Please support the Tigers and go to the game if you can. You can still get tickets for face value in the LSU section here:

LSU Section Tickets from LSU

Also, the LSU Alumni Association in Atlanta usually has stuff planned (an LSU bar, etc) ... you can go to this link to see what they have planned for the week (it's not updated yet but it will be soon once they get everything planned)

are you going to be doing a bunch of buying and selling tickets like you usually do for the bowl games?

I agree 100 percent with you! I have been to both Peach Bowls at the Georgia Dome and had a blast.

We need to support LSU.

I've never sold a ticket to a bowl game ... not sure what you're talking about.

For those of you that aren't old enough or don't remember, LSU went to THREE bowls from 1989-1999.

1995 Independence, 1996 Peach, and 1997 Independence

Going to a bowl game is a great experience. Not only that, but if college football does what we all want, the bowls may not last much longer (ok, that's probably not going to happen).

Support the Tigers. Have fun in Atlanta.

It depends on whether they sold the allotment or not. Alleva's plea that I got in my e-mail sounded someone desperate. I'd say contact the ticket office.

Just buy regular non-student tickets from LSU ... you can always walk down to the student section if that's where you want to sit.

I definitely recommend it! This will be my ninth consecutive LSU bowl game ... my first was the 2000 Peach against GaTech my sophomore year at LSU.

I love bowl games, ton of fun. Of course it doesn't hurt that we've gone 6-2 in the bowl games that I've went to, lol.

I agree. LSU fans need to get out for this game no matter what!! It's sad you have to beg them b/c i had to pay about $1,000 bucks for a ticket to the championship game last year b/c i was too far down on the priority point list, and now exactly ONE year later, LSU is begging people to go to the game.

What the FANS don't get is this: When LSU gets picked to go to a bowl game not up to calibur with their expectations and don't go, it's not sticking it to LSU. True, LSU does see a profit. But it hurts LSU the next time when the bowls like the Cap One Bowl could take us, and their bowl reps tell LSU, you couldn't even sell your allotment to the Chick-Fil-A Bowl, so we don't want to pick you. We're picking UGA instead.

If you want to show LSU you are not supporting the product that is being put on the field, give up your season tickets instead. I'll gladly be there to take them off your hands.

This is very true. If you as LSU fans would prefer Tampa over Memphis/Atlanta/Dallas in the future, you need to travel this year in a "down" year. Any fan base can travel well to the big games. It's how you travel when you're "down" is what these bowls look at.

I must have you confused with another guy that goes by JPLSU. I am looking for a bunch for the Chick Fil A Bowl. Maybe I could have phrased it in a different way. Sorry about that.

Not really. The student section isn't general seating. Unless someone in the section doesn't show up, there will be no open spots, and I am sure marshalls will bitch if I stay in the asile.

And I am not going to sit in a non-student section where I may be bitched at for standing/being loud. That would be the entire point of my wanting to go. I'll try to see if I can get on some kind of waiting list tomorrow for the student section, but if not, forget it.

The two times I've been to the Peach Bowl before, we always walked down and sat in the LSU student section. there are always empty seats in there and we had no problems.

and all LSU sections for this bowl will be rowdy and loud, trust me .... when we're outnumbered (which we will be by the GaTech fans), it seems like all LSU fans even the older ones get louder and more into the game than usual.

This will be my 8th trip to the Georgia Dome (4 Sec Champ Games and 4 Peach Bowls).

I have enjoyed them all.

It's a great city. It's easy to travel to get there. The facility is state of the art. The game will be indoors in 72 degree weather.

My group and myself will be there and I urge all fellow Tiger fans to make the trip. We need you and our team needs you.
