quote:
It’s in the Bible
This is the prayer we say when we ask Mary to pray for us.
We repeat scripture.
Lord Jesus, taught us how to pray:
Matthew 6:9-13, Jesus says,
“This, then, is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
for yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Amen.’”
And again, the same instructions when a disciple asks to be taught how to pray
Luke 11:1-4
He said to them, “When you pray, say:
“‘Father,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come.
3 Give us each day our daily bread.
4 Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation.
Now, where is Mary in any of it? Where did Jesus tell his disciples or anybody to pray to his 'blessed' mother?
Nowhere.
