You have Jesus's own response to Mariolatry, so anyone trying to defend the veneration of Mary, for any reason whatsoever, is trying to defend the indefensible.
Jesus wouldn’t be here if Mary hadn’t obeyed
Plus the dogma of the immaculate conception came out a few hundred years after Luther - so you don’t know what you’re protesting - it had been discussed for centuries but not made official until later

No. Context is everything. Jesus's response shut. it. down. when it came to the glorification of Mary. It's wrong, in any form. God does not share his glory with anyone.
It really could not be more clear.
Also, if you study Scripture, you will notice that at no time ever during Jesus's entire ministry did he say, hint, allude, suggest: "If you can't get through to me, you can always try going through my mom."
