The Lyme disease thing felt like it was pulled from the book where you have time to explore something like that. Then in the movie it just felt sloppy and unresolved.

There were a few things like that that were just not up to par with the overall production which was excellent. Even with those misses the movie has you exactly where it wants you with 30 minutes to go. The way the tension grows until then is awesome. From there it’s mismanaged IMO.

It’s still a hell of an effort for 2023 standards. Most Netflix originals are mediocre B movies and most blockbusters are a complete waste of time so it’s nice to see something different.

Agreed. Initially, the atmosphere was a throwback to say an old Bian DePlma thriller Raising Cain/Body Double and the tension that was built reminded me of the uncomfortable suspicions in Arlington Road.

But unlike Arlington Road, which had a perfect twist ending, this one gave an exposition/information dump for the end they had been hinting at all along.
