My Vanguard Money Market is giving 5.29% 7 day SEC yield. That is getting more than most CD's I've seen. Am I missing something or not calculating something correctly?

It’s fine, but it’s going to go down just like it went up. CDs protect the income for some savers.

The CD locks in its rate for the term, often a year or more. Your money market fund's rate is good today only; might go up or might do down. Many are predicting lower interest rates in the spring.
