Okay I just lol'd.
FWIW, I never did a FIRST date at a grocery store. But once I was comfortable with or seeing someone, yeah, shopping together is a fun date. You get to figure out cuisine, obtain supplies, cook people watch, chat about stuff.
Plus it's a good chance to go "oooh. I know we are doing scallops and little neck clams
tonight but let's try making ravioli next time." And plan another date.
I guess I just like to cook and to cook for people. Didn't care if it was a date, a stranger, group of friends.
Used to love cooking at tailgates and feeding whoever and hearing those sounds when people were enjoying it.
But maybe that's just a me thing
